Why Most AI Pilots Fail in Production

The Cybersecurity We Don´t See: Why do we keep letting our guard down?

We live connected. The cellphone, the computer, the tablet, even the TV and smartwatches are part of our daily routine. However, even though we rely on technology
to work, communicate, entertain ourselves, and even manage our finances, we still treat cybersecurity as if it were a distant issue, reserved only for experts or large corporations.

Why Do We Ignore the Problem?

Despite cyberattacks being a daily occurrence, most users don’t feel at risk. Some
reasons include:

  • Invisibility of risk: Unlike a physical robbery, attacks aren’t visible until it’s too late.
  • Excessive complexity: Technical jargon is intimidating (phishing, malware, ransomware).
  • False sense of security: We believe hackers only target banks or governments.
  • Convenience over security: We prefer easy passwords and open Wi-Fi to avoid complications.

The Everyday Paradox
Each day, we’re more exposed:

  • Social networks filled with personal data.
  • Bank transfers from mobile devices.
  • Photos, documents, and even conversations stored in the cloud.
  • “Smart” devices that listen and record information.

In this scenario, the lack of awareness is like leaving your house door wide open, trusting
that “it won’t happen to me.”
